Prototype Information

The West Japan Railway Company (JR West) introduced the 225 series units on commuter service in 2010. The -100 series was added in 2016 with a new front design in 4-car and 8-car formations. With the timetable revision in March 2023, the -700 series introduced paid seat service (A-seat) in one car of 4-car formations on portions of the Tokaido Main Line and Sanyo Main Line.

• This set, <98545> Basic 4-Car Set, and <98546> Add-on 4-Car Set can be used to recreate the appearance of a 12-car formation

• Head and tail lights are white LED, fog lights are orange
