Shipping policy

Orders ship by United States Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx. Shipping rates are calculated using item dimensions and weight. Because of how different carriers calculate dimensional weight rates, items may display with weights greater than their weight as measured with a scale. We do our best to keep shipping rates down, but particularly outsized items like large building kits and long track segments will always cost more to ship because of their large size even though they are not particularly heavy.

Some items like aerosols, paints, adhesives and other similar goods are deemed hazardous by shippers and cannot be sent through the air. All such items will ship via ground methods. Please note that "ground" shipments to Hawaii or other areas not part of the 48 contiguous US states are typically sent by plane and therefore we cannot ship any of these goods to those areas.

We ship daily Monday through Friday, except for US national holidays or whenever shipping carriers suspend service. It is our goal to ship all orders as soon as possible following receipt of payment. If you have not received tracking information on your order after two full business days' time and have not received communication from us as to why, please send us an email at waybills@southerncrescenthobby.com.
