Prototype Information

The 313 series is a commuter train that began commercial operation in 1999. In order to run on all of JR Central's electrified lines, the vehicle has been designed to suit the actual conditions of each line, from train length to seating arrangement, making it a train that can be used flexibly. The -1300 series is a group that began commercial operation in 2010, and is characterized by having convertible cross seats between the doors and long seats at the end of the car, making it a two-car formation suitable for one-man operation. Currently, they are mainly in service on the Kansai Line, Taketoyo Line, and Gotemba Line, as well as on some sections of the Tokaido Line and Chuo Line.
