Tomix 97631 N 223-2000 Series Commuter Train 8-Car Set, JR West (Standard DC)

Prototype Information

The West Japan Railway Company introduced the 223-2000 series trainset in 1999, replacing the 113 and 117 series units on the Tokaido and Sanyo main lines. Over 600 vehicles were manufactured by 2008. Beginning in 2015, fall prevention hoods were installed on leading cars along with other small modifications.

Eight-unit 223-2000 series commuter train set.

• The structure has been changed so that the window frame at the front of the leading car is reproduced by carving it into the window glass parts
• Wipers have been added to the through door, reproducing the appearance of the through door window being reduced, and a front window part without a wiper is included with the replacement through door
• The shape of the fall prevention hood has been revised and newly produced, and it can be attached to the existing product and will be released as a separate part <PP0813>
• A new coupler with a mounting part has been produced in preparation for the two-stage electric coupler
• The roofs of the KuMoHa 223, MoHa 222, and MoHa 223 types are reproduced in a different appearance from the third train
• The front window is reproduced in green to represent the current appearance as replacements are progressing, and the side windows are reproduced in smoke from the first train
• Equipped with a headlight lighting function that turns on regardless of the direction of travel when leading cars are coupled together
• The skirt of the leading car reproduces the appearance with the lower part extended
• The JR mark is printed
• The front display is a printed part ""A Shin-kaisoku Himeji"" is already installed, replacement parts included
• Car number is selectable and transfer sheet is included
• Head and tail lights and front display are equipped with constant lighting board, with ON-OFF switch
• Head and tail lights and front display are lit by white LED
• The driver's side of the leading car is equipped with a TN coupler (SP) with a small body support
• Uses power with flywheel
• Uses new current collection system and silver wheels
• Uses M-13 motor
