The Taki 1000 series is a tank car that was introduced in 1993 to increase the speed of petroleum transport trains.It is equipped with FT21 bogies based on the FT1 bogies of the KoKi 100 series, and can travel at a maximum speed of 95 km/h.
This is the main type of gasoline tank car and is in use in the Kanto, Tohoku, and Chubu regions.
Starting in 2024, some train will carry the Cosmo Oil logo, and these train will mainly be attached to trains bound for the Kanto, Shinshu, and Tohoku regions from Hamagoi Station on the Keiyo Rinkai Railway.
