Narrow one-sided station platforms like this are commonly found in tight urbanized spaces where clearance between multiple-track right-of-way and adjoining streets or buildings is scarce.

Features:

Follows the design of the island platform (urban type), sold separately. Can be used side by side with other similar products or in conjunction to create a variety of modular platform setups.

Opposing Platform (Urban Type) Function

• Place adjacent to straight track of 700mm length.
• When lining up with an island platform (urban type), opposing platforms can be connected using the included joints in the following order: end platform L + 140mm platform + platform A + 140mm platform + end platform R, with platform A in the center position.
• Benches, station signs, advertisements, and vending machines unique to opposing platforms can be placed along the wall.
• The end of the platform is surrounded by an end wall to prevent workers from falling when used on an elevated platform.
• It is possible to connect island platforms (urban type) and opposing platforms (urban type), making it possible to recreate platforms with different train lengths that can stop on opposing tracks. The staircase installation position differs between opposing platform A and opposing platform B so that the position of the stairs will match when placed opposite each other.

Island Platform (Urban Type) Function

• Braille blocks and anti-slip material are printed on the top surface of the platform to prevent falls onto the tracks.
• The platform height has been raised by 1.5mm compared to the modern platform, and the bottom edge of the train door is aligned with the platform height to create a barrier-free platform with few steps for boarding and alighting. By increasing the platform height, the included height-increasing parts can be used in combination with the Tomix 4033 Over-the-bridge Station Building (modern type), Tomix 4040 New Over-the-bridge Station Building, and Platform (suburban type).
• Various safety and security devices for railways can be installed. Cannot be used in combination with platform (urban type) lighting products.
