A mainstay of Amtrak trains across the eastern United States since their debut in the 1970s, Amfleet coaches can be seen in service on both corridor routes and long-distance service. Amfleet II series coaches were introduced to Amtrak long-distance service beginning in 1981 and can be externally distinguished from the older Amfleet I series coaches by their single door on one end of the coach, where the Amfleet I coaches have doors on each end. Internally, Amfleet II series coaches feature interiors optimized for long-distance travel with fewer seats than their Amfleet I counterparts.

Kato has announced pre-orders for this 2-piece set featuring Amfleet II Coach #25000 and Amfleet II Coach #25068 finished in Amtrak's iconic Phase III livery with equal red, white and blue stripes.

This is a Pre-Order item. After you commit to pre-ordering an item, Southern Crescent Hobby will place an order on your behalf with our supplier network. Your non-refundable 10% deposit reserves your spot. Some time before we are due to receive your pre-ordered item(s), we will issue you an invoice for the balance of your order including any applicable shipping charges and taxes. Your order will be shipped as soon as possible once the balance is paid and all items have arrived at our warehouse.
