This is an exact scale model of the PRR standard watch box from the 1911 plans. They were used to provide shelter for watchmen at road crossings in populated areas throughout the steam era. It has separate door and windows for easy painting and includes precut glazing. Roof is one piece except for the included separate chimney pipe. Base is also included. Our coal bins (part 8167) were often found next to these to supply coal for the pot-bellied stove.
Base is 3/4 by 1 inch. Roof centered on base is 1 3/32 x 1 5/16 inches.
Contains 6 complete kits.
