Tichy Train Group 7012 HO Standard Steel Water Tank Kit

This kit represents the standard steel water tank that was developed by Chicago Bridge and Iron for the railroad industry. Installations were done from the late 1800s to the end of steam with many still in use. The kit allows you to build either the 100,000 gallon (2 courses) or the 125,000 gallon (3 courses) versions. In addition, we supply spherical and sloped tops, tapered and flat bottoms and long and short beam lengths so any common variant can be built. Our standard Fairbanks-Morse water column is also included. The kit is injection molded in gray styrene with phosphor bronze wire.
