This sleek and powerful WalthersMainline General Electric P42 diesel locomotive brings modern passenger rail power to your HO Scale layout. Available with factory installed ESU sound and DCC, this HO scale P42 is the perfect choice for expanding your passenger fleet. First built by General Electric between 1992 and 2001, the P42 "Genesis" is now one of the most recognizable diesel electric locomotives on North American rails. Packing 4250 horsepower under its hood, this powerful diesel achieves a top speed of 110 mph. Most of the units serve on Amtrak intercity service throughout the United States, although several are in operation north of the border with Via Rail Canada. This WalthersMainline model captures all the details of its modern classic prototype, including accurate molded and separately applied parts and prototypical paint schemes. A top-of-the-line WalthersProto drive, metal Proto MAX couplers, LED lighting and metal wheels ensure a lifetime of reliable operation. This model is a standard DC model and comes equipped with a 21-pin decoder interface and factory installed speaker to make conversion conversion easy when you're ready!

Your non-refundable 10% deposit reserves your spot. Some time before we are due to receive your pre-ordered item(s), we will issue you an invoice for the balance of your order including any applicable shipping charges and taxes.
