The Ford Fairlane was made between 1955 and 1970 and it came in a variety of body styles including two-door and four-door saloons, hardtops, station wagons and convertibles. Oxford’s Ford Fairlane 500 is based on the 3\u003csup\u003erd\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003egeneration of the car manufactured and restyled between 1960 and 1961 and represents the four-door town sedan version of that period. A basic level trim version proved popular for fleet use too by taxi fleets and the Police.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eIt’s no surprise then that our latest release is a model of the iconic NYC Taxi dressed in the traditional yellow paint, this time with bright red roof. The wheel rims echo the bright red body masking and the colour continues through to the interior. External trim to wheel hubs and grille surround are silver and the price of the cab fares is printed in red on the two front doors. A final detail sees the addition of a TAXI sign on the roof.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eAnother detail comprises the authentic\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003etwin headlights set in a scalloped square front grille.\u003cspan\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eRound taillights were replaced by half moon shaped lights for 1960 only.
