A good coil will have a resistance of about 8.8 OHM.\u003cbr\u003eIf it is much less your coil is shorted and will not generate enough magnetic field to uncouple. (Leaving the uncoupler active for too long cause the coil to overheat melting the insolation and shorting out the coil.)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMagnetic Field Test:\u003c\/strong\u003e Before installed in track.
